Vaping has completely drawn away my addiction to nicotine and cigarettes. I no longer have a craving for what some people refer to as the stinkies. There is no more internal struggle with myself to justify buying another pack of death sticks.
I am, in fact, now at the point where I primarily vape e-liquids with no nicotine at all. It is for flavor and to feed that familiar action of bringing something to my mouth and inhaling into my lungs. It is also perfectly safe to do so; Or at least it hasn’t been proven to be hazardous.
Vaping has been around for a few years now. The technology itself has recently grown in leaps and bounds compared to just one or two years ago. What used to be rather technical and potentially dangerous (explosive) to beginner vapers (if they don’t know anything about electronics), has now given way to safety and out-of-the-box ease of use.
I am not referring to the old cig-a-like BLU or NJoy type brands found at 7-Eleven – Of which people are generally introduced to. These low end devices also generally fail at keeping people from smoking, as the feeling of a real cigarette throat hit is greatly unmet. I started with these myself. Proof.
I am referring to gear tailored more for vaping enthusiasts – The mechanical mods, and rebuildable atomizers. No longer do beginners need to learn to build; They may now just purchase insulated & regulated batteries along with a disposable atomizers that perform just as well , if not better than the older manual builds.
I came to vaping more seriously just over two months ago and the timing couldn’t be better. The tail end of 2014-to-now has brought forth many advanced products which have been flying off the shelves both online and in a growing number of local vape stores. I started off with something basic from a gas station, to something more modern and basic recommended at a local shop..
The eGo ONE is the device that completely drove away my addiction to smoking. Through that I began to explore and appreciate the flavors of vaping, and I soon learned how different power/heat settings can greatly affect flavor and vapor production. So I went a step further with a regulated battery, and an atomizer that can handle it’s power. Without any research, I’ve found the iStick 50 and Delta II compliment each other perfectly. Soon after, I’ve found that many other vapors have come to the same conclusion.
With this combination of gear, along with some fantastic juices, I am fairly satiated and could end this odyssey there. However after hanging out with more experienced vapers at various local vape shops, and watching some video tutorials, I’ve leapt into the joys of RBAs (rebuildable atomizers) with my recently acquired Sovereign RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer – And I’ve found that it’s far more satisfying than just filling up a tank as you have even more control over taste and vapor production.
Just like any other enthusiast hobby, vaping comes with a price. And I, who works at Green Hell, can not possibly sustain an enthusiast-vapers budget. I’m happy with where I’m at now as far as my gear goes, and have also acquired enough juice to drip for a good while.
After reading all that, I’m sure it’s obvious that vaping has become borderline obsession with me. While it’s not the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning, it is now something I practice daily and do very much enjoy.
I enjoy it to the point that I sit and wonder if I should attempt to somehow involve myself in this business – Not necessarily to profit (which would be nice), but to help people quit smoking cigarettes altogether. I’d like to think it’s a noble action to undertake.
I firmly believe that vaping is for the cessation of smoking. People, particularly teens & young adults should not be introduced to vaping, let alone smoking tobacco. However if they are, then vaping should be the route that they journey on.
Whether it’s creating my own line of e-liquids – Flavors that I would love to vape myself, and/or create my own line of accessories or tanks and mods; There is definitely a lot of research and development to be done. But there are also some great stories in vaping that I find rather inspirational.
I have some ideas. I have some skills.
And I know my interest and passion grows with each vape.
Developing products seems like the logical next step in this vaping odyssey.
